Eye Tests & Services
Our comprehensive eye examination is at the heart of our service, providing you with carefully considered clinical and practical advice.
With a third lockdown upon us, we want to update you on our status for the coming weeks and reassure you that, as always, we will be here to take care of you through this very difficult time.
We have official clarification that as an essential healthcare provider, Opticians will be able to continue working normally in the coming weeks. We will continue to take appointment bookings, supply spectacles and carry out repairs or just give good eyecare advice. Of course, we will be following the same COVID-19 safety protocols that we have had in place for many months now.
When examining your eyes and to reduce close, face to face contact in the test room, Optometrist Deborah is strongly recommending our Optomap wide field imaging to enhance your examination. This will mean paying a £30 fee supplement, but we hope that you will agree it is a small price to pay for your improved safety.
Please telephone to make your appointment; the practice is open as usual from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday. We are currently experiencing high demand for eye exams so please bear with us.
These are worrying times for us all; rest assured we will be working hard throughout to ensure the best service possible within the guidelines that we must follow.

To help you make the all-important lens choice for your new glasses, we have “Lens Experts” on hand to give you advice.
We know that spectacles aren’t for everyone, which is why we’re also experts in fitting contact lenses. Highly versatile and suitable for most people – even juniors– contact lenses are now easier to use and more comfortable to wear than ever.
