HOYA lens dispensing system
We utilise the latest technology in the Dispensing area, just as we do in the Examination Room.
When the frame and lens selection have been discussed and carried out, we use HOYA technology to deliver our finished spectacles;
visuReal Master measuring technology. Pupil centre position measurements are achieved through photography. Our patients stand in front of a camera device which utilises flash to indicate the pupil's exact position. The software then scans the exact frame shape, providing us with instant measurements, accurate to a tenth of a millimetre.
The measurement data from the visuReal Master is exported to an order form on the HoyaiLog ordering platform. The prescription and selected lens form is entered.
Then the selected frame is placed in the Hoya GT7000 frame tracer which provides the exact frame shape accuarate to a tenth of a millimetre, to complete the order. The order is sent direct to the HOYA production plant in Wrexham for processing.
The lenses are delivered to us pre-cut, for assembly and checking in practice. This allows to us to maintain full control of accurate assembly, without the need for third-party workshops.

Single vision lenses
Single vision lenses provide one prescription across the entire lens. They are commonly used for distance vision, reading or computer use.
Varifocal lenses
Varifocal lenses allow you to see clearly at distance, intermediate and reading distances without changing glasses. They are a popular option for patients who want one pair of glasses for everyday use.
Occupational and computer lenses
If you spend long periods working at a desk or using screens, occupational lenses can provide comfortable vision for intermediate and near tasks.
Thin and lightweight lenses
For stronger prescriptions, thinner and lighter lens materials can improve comfort and appearance.
Lens coatings
We can also add coatings to your lenses to improve performance, including anti-reflection coatings to reduce glare and scratch-resistant finishes to help protect your lenses.
